thanks for posting on my thread!
*jumps off cliff* woo hoo! i can Apparate! *squish*
it is nice when people are brought together by an interest... especially when
it's a book... the alien form of media
in our electronic world. ^_^
thanks for posting on my thread!
haha.. my sister's into Naruto (she's not on this site, though). books don't
really become mainstream, do they? they stay contained in their own little
worlds... *hint hint nudge nudge* read more! *cough*
thanks for posting on my thread!
yes... i would like a Harry Potter toothpick. *grins*
to me, it just looks odd when something from a book appears with a TM symbol
next to it. but whatever. copyright laws are necessary, i guess. fro uncreative
people who can't think up their own stuff.
thanks for posting on my thread!
i hope the corporations are not taking advantage of J. K. Rowling... i just
think that if i were a famous author, i would not want people constantly trying
to make products out of my work, but that is just me, i guess. hopefully the
movies and the books are kept in separate worlds.
if one thing brings people together so much, then it cannot be bad.
thanks for posting on my thread!
i do not understand this whole "Harry Potter is evil and magic is the
devil" thing. that is a little too extremist. people are learning to read
from Harry Potter? that's good. *cannot imagine being illiterate*
thanks for posting on my thread!
i do not get how people cannot like Harry Potter... it just appeals to so many
people, which adds to its popularity... unless those people are against Harry
Potter because it is so popular, which
isn't a very good reason.... eh. but i used to think like that. rebel without a
cause.
i like your userpage. ^_^
thanks for posting on my thread!
there is something addicting about Harry Potter... perhaps... it is truly
magic...
yes, our family fought last year over who would get to read the fifth book
first... this year it was a little calmer, though.
thank you for your views on my thread!
popularity definitely has its upsides and its downsides... i like what you said
about Star Wars being ruined before Lucas got a chance to... Phantom Menace
seemed to be lacking something. i felt
like the characters were saying the same things over and over.
yes, but back to Harry Potter. i wasn't really accusing J. K. Rowling of
stealing an idea, i was just curious if this was true. (after all, no idea is
unique.) but regardless, Harry Potter is definitely a good cultural phenomenon
if it has encouraged people to read more. like you and i do already. ^_~
Quote by UltraMarineThis topic brings
back memories....I was a huge fan of the series some years ago. I ended up
spending $$$ on the artbooks, trading cards, etc. I first got interested in it
when I watched a fansubbed version of the anime . Too bad it never had a second
season to continue on the story. I ended up getting all 27 volumes of the
japanese manga to find out what happens up til the end. It was worth the
purchase.
hehe. i'm glad it was worth it. there are trading cards? i think i'll have to
walk over to the asian market near my house and try to find those, and keep
spending $$$.
see you around!

basara is my greatest manga. it is really good. I suggest people who are just
gettin into anime and manga, to read basara. Its for the normal people that
believe that manga and anime is childish . But i do suggest any fan at all to read basara. it is really reallly
good.
So Read Basara people!!! the best manga out there.. truly
touching
thanks for posting on my thread. ^_^
i used to be a bit of a moonie myself... sailor mars is the best. ^_~
well, see you around.
thanks for replying to my post...
i never really thought about things that way... i mean, i understand the whole
Yin Yang concept, but sometimes i forget that there has to be both good and bad
in the world... and... get caught up in dreams of a perfect world, but maybe our
world is perfect, just the way it is, flawed like it should be... anyway,
thanks.
more than glad to join your group. ^_-
yes... i have read Imadoki!, Ayashi no Ceres (i need the eleventh one...) and
most of Fushigi Yuugi.
and my avatar is from Kodocha (along with some other random images)...
definitely one of my favorite manga, and the first one i read in its entirety
(except for Sailor Moon).
you have just inspired me to *attempt* to customize my userpage. yay!

exams will be over and it will be summer vacation! yahoo!
hmm... mangoes... the carabao kind, i believe. i dunno... it says 'from the
philipines' on the package. heh. my crazy band friends call the mangoes
'cocaine' because they can't stop eating them. ^_^
Quote by DarkRhainyo, thnx...i was
kinduh touched 'bout wat you said(i the forum) mostly
'bout the "suffering is what unite us all" thing...the way i lok at
it,
it true..thnx again...^_^
thank you for making me think! i should try more of that...
that concept is mostly from i heart
huckabees, which is a bizarrely hilarious deep movie. (that i highly
recommend... ^_-) apparently i can't think for myself... but it is still the
truth.
i try my hardest to get through to people... and i guess it works sometimes.
phillipines, eh? the mangoes i like come from there... *that's all i know about
the country. sad little thing, ignorance is...*
Quote: I love Tsubasa! Such a great
manga! And I
know what you mean about wanting to cry (I didn't feel like crying, but
it was sad). Fuu is really neat, too...she is really clever; the way
she tricked Ferio into accompanying the three girls was pure genius!
And as a couple, Fuu and Ferio rock! You made a great choice in reading
that series...MKR was my second series, and it remains one of my
favorites! Koryu is so funny! The way he picks on Kohaku is really
amusing....it's his own way of showing how he cares. And his reaction
to Kohaku and Shuichiro (sp?) is so funny! He always gets mad and
flustered...another really good series! Ruri and Hari...gosh, Clamp
comes up with so many great characters!
Anyway, nice to hear from you after so long, and thanks for posting in
my thread! See you around, and 'bye for now~
yeah.. i'm back. i couldn't stay away for too long...
it's not that my life has gotten less busy, it's that i'm wasting more time on
the internet.
CLAMP does come up with awesome characters... i think the thing i like best
about all their series is the "pure love" aspect of it, which is hard
to accomplish in this "teen angst shojo" world we live in. they're
like manga fairy tales almost...
i must go to a bookstore very soon. my money must be spent.
talk to you again... soonish...
hey! thanks for replying to my thread on "kodomo no omocha" and
posting in my guestbook too. will you become my friend? us "kodocha"
fans have to stick together...
thanks for signing my guestbook... i feel so loved!
poland, huh? my family originally came from poland, generations back. my
grandparents make good polish food. glad to know there's manga fans all over the
world. ^_^
i'll gladly become your friend! the world needs more friendly people like
you!

as with many popular series, there is always something better. but... still many people like them and read more. yay!
